The Albuquerque Public Library Foundation

The Albuquerque Public Library Foundation raises funds to enrich library programs, services and facilities. Individual donations, grants, corporate contributions, legacy gifts, memorial donations and contributions in honor of friends and family ensure The Public Library, Albuquerque and Bernalillo County is able to support engaging, meaningful and up-to-date programs and services. Capital campaigns are conducted to provide facility amenities not covered by tax dollars.

The Library Advisory Board

The Library Advisory Board educates the citizens of Bernalillo County about the needs of the library and how the library is supported by the city, county, and state.

The Board keeps the community informed of library needs, serves as a forum for discussion, makes recommendations to the government to support library funding, and encourages the greatest use of library facilities and programs.

Our Donation Partners

As with any donation-based organization, we occasionally receive items that we aren’t able to sell. When this happens, we turn to a number of partner agencies to ensure that books and other materials can still be of benefit to our community. Below is a list of organizations that the Friends currently partner with. If you know of a nonprofit that could use free, overstock books, please reach out to Jessica at jessica@friendsofthepubliclibrary.org
